Getting help¶
There is one way to reach us about a problem in your own environment: the bydynamics Portal.
You need an account, and creating one takes about a minute. That account is what lets us tie your issue to your organisation, keep the conversation private to your colleagues, and show you the history later.
What to send¶
An issue that gets answered on the first reply usually has:
- What you did — the steps, in order
- What happened — the actual message, copied out rather than described
- What you expected instead
- Which app and which version, if you know it
- When it started, and whether it ever worked
Screenshots help. Attach them to the issue rather than pasting them into the description.
Please leave personal data out
A support issue is read by our engineers and stored in our systems. Do not include anything you would not want kept there:
- Customer or employee names, addresses, or bank details
- Ledger extracts or exports containing real records
- Passwords, access tokens, or connection strings
- Screenshots showing any of the above
If we need a data sample to reproduce something, we will ask — and we will tell you how to send it safely. Never send credentials, even if asked. We will not ask for them, and anyone who does is not us.
What happens next¶
Your issue reaches the team that builds the app. You will see replies in the portal, in the same thread.
If we need something from you, the issue says so and waits — the clock stops while it is with you, so a request for more detail does not eat into your response time.
Other ways to reach us¶
| You are | Use |
|---|---|
| A customer with a problem | The Portal |
| Reporting a security vulnerability | This, privately — not an issue |
| A CSP partner or Microsoft | support@bydynamics.com |
| Asking about licensing or an invoice | Your bydynamics contact, or the portal |
Why there is no public issue tracker
Support conversations tend to contain the specifics of your environment, and those do not belong in a public place — not least because anything published publicly stays published, whatever we do afterwards.
The portal keeps your issues visible to your organisation and to us, and to nobody else.
